Idol ThoughtsWell, I managed to completely avoid the media hypefest that was NZ Idol, although, given the hysteria that surrounded it all on Monday night when the winner was announced, I couldn't help but avoid seeing that a local Island Bay lad - Ben Lummis - had taken the top prize. Tumeke! But will it all lead to fame and fortune for the winner, particularly now that BMG have announced they're also going to be offering a contract to runner-up Michael Murphy as well?
